Policy
Privacy policy
There is no account to create, no newsletter that follows you, and nothing here is sold or shared with advertisers. This page says exactly what is collected and by whom.
The short version
Reading this site requires you to give nothing. No login, no cookie wall, no advertising network. The only personal data that reaches us is what you type into the contact form or put in an email, and it is used to answer you.
What is collected when you read a page
This site is a set of static files served by Vercel Inc., which acts as our hosting processor. Like every web server, theirs records a request log: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser’s user-agent string and the referring page. That log is kept by Vercel under their own retention schedule and is used for delivering the site and for security — not for profiling you.
Typefaces are served from this domain, not from a font network, so reading a page does not announce your visit to a third party.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 runs on this site only after you agree to it. Until you choose, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. If you decline, or ignore the notice, nothing is loaded at all.
If you do agree, Google Analytics records which pages are read, roughly where in the
world the reader is, and how they arrived. IP addresses are truncated before storage
(anonymize_ip). It is used for one purpose: deciding which subjects to
write about next. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC act as processors; their
handling is governed by their own terms.
You can change your mind at any time — clearing this site’s data in your browser restores the notice, and any browser-level tracking block or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on will also stop it.
What is stored in your browser
No advertising or tracking cookies are set. Two small entries may be written to your browser’s local storage, both by this site and readable by nobody else:
- Theme preference — whether you chose light or dark. Purely a display setting.
- Analytics choice — your answer to the analytics notice, so that you are not asked on every page.
Clearing site data in your browser removes both.
The contact form
The form on the contact page posts to a function on this domain, which passes the message straight to email. It is not a third-party form service, and the message is not written to a database here.
| Field | Why it is asked for |
|---|---|
| Name | So a reply can address you |
| Company | Optional. Context for the answer |
| To reply. Nothing else | |
| Topic and message | The substance of your enquiry |
Delivery is handled by Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) as a processor, and the message then
rests in the hello@ecoworldwide.com mailbox with the email provider. The
lawful basis is legitimate interest in answering correspondence, or steps taken at your
request before entering a contract. Enquiries are kept while the matter is live and for up
to twenty-four months afterwards, then deleted.
A hidden field on the form catches automated submissions. If it is filled in, the message is discarded and nothing is sent or stored.
What never happens
- Your data is not sold, rented or traded. Sponsorship placements are static links served from this domain — no advertising network runs here and none has access to anything about you.
- You are not added to a mailing list because you used the contact form.
- There is no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, and no retargeting pixel.
- No automated decision-making or profiling is carried out on anything you send.
Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and the GDPR give you the right to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. If you are a California resident, the CCPA as amended gives you rights of access and deletion and a right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — there is none to opt out of.
Exercise any of these by writing to hello@ecoworldwide.com. There is no charge and no form to fill in; a reply comes within thirty days. If you are in the UK or EEA and are unhappy with the answer, you may complain to your national supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
International transfers
The hosting and email processors named above — Vercel and Resend — operate the infrastructure this site and its mail run on, and that infrastructure is located in the United States. If you write from the UK or the EEA, your message is therefore transferred there, under the standard contractual clauses those processors incorporate into their terms. This is stated because the transfer disclosure is required, not as a description of where anyone sits.
Children
This is a trade reference for people doing professional work. It is not directed at children and no data is knowingly collected from anyone under sixteen.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it and the substance of the change is described here rather than folded in silently.
Who to write to
Eco Worldwide — hello@ecoworldwide.com. There is no separate data-protection officer; correspondence is read by the publisher.
